The future that I envision for calculator linking is a really easy to use one. I'm dreaming about USB style detection of other calculators or hardware plugged into a calculator and multi-calc networks that keep themselves organized and flexible in the background without any interference from the user. I want the calculator to be able to detect different data streams, and direct them to the right programs on the right machines.

I know this may sound quite surreal to most of you, but I am getting more and more convinced that all this is possible on those simple processors you carry around everywhere. Of course, the primary goals are a bit more humble (or realistic, some would say ) but I will always keep this dream in mind in the process of designing CLAP. And who knows, some day...
